We are Flora Acre, a U.S.-based botanical paper-goods and garden-gift company built around one simple belief: if a product says it can be planted, it should be made with real respect for seeds, paper, and the people who receive it.
For years, much of our work happened through offline production, custom projects, and hands-on service. This online shop was created so more families, gift buyers, brands, teachers, and beginner growers can access the kind of plantable paper products we believe are worth sharing.
Why we started selling online
We noticed a problem in the seed-paper market: many products look charming in photos but are made with shortcuts that customers cannot see. Some use low-grade fiber blends or glass-fiber filler to reduce cost. Some use aged seed lots. Some are processed with heat or timing that can leave the seeds weak, dormant, or no longer viable before the customer ever gets the card.
That bothered us, because seed paper is not just paper with a nice idea attached to it. It is a small growing system. The paper, seed, moisture, drying method, storage, and planting instructions all matter.
What makes our seed paper different
Our plantable paper is made from properly recycled paper fiber, with no glass-fiber filler. We add coconut coir and plant-supporting nutrients to help create a friendlier starting environment once the paper is planted.
We use first-generation seed lots selected for stronger freshness and growth potential. Over years of production, we have built a seed library for plantable cards, calendars, and paper gifts, choosing seeds that can better tolerate the paper-making process and remain practical for customers to plant.
Our process protects the seed
The hardest part of seed paper is not making paper look pretty. It is keeping the seed alive through production. Our process uses low-temperature drying designed to reduce the risk of seed deactivation during manufacturing. We also use controlled handling and testing steps so the product can remain both beautiful and plantable.

Those projects taught us that plantable gifts need to feel refined, reliable, and easy to understand from the first touch to the moment they are planted.
Why sustainability changed our business
Our story began with printed goods. As we looked more seriously at waste, packaging, and the environmental pressure created by disposable products, we made a deliberate turn. In 2023, we formed a new company direction and shifted our energy toward plantable, lower-waste, more sustainable paper goods.
We are not trying to make gifts louder or more disposable. We want them to carry meaning, then return to the soil in a more thoughtful way.

Behind this shop is a practical team: customer service, supply-chain coordination, paper production, seed selection, designers, and fulfillment support. As Flora Acre grows, we plan to work with more independent designers so our plantable cards, calendars, and gifts can carry more styles, more occasions, and more personal voices.
